In approximately 43km distance and 56 minutes of driving from our hotel, you will find the Polylimnio Waterfalls. Polylimnio (many lakes) is a complex of small lakes (15 in total) and waterfalls (the highest is 25 meters), creating a tremendously beautiful scenery in a natural environment, offering moments of relaxation and the chance to be connected with nature. The route for one to get to the waterfalls is by walking through dense vegetation, graphic landscapes and small wooden bridges leading to heaven on earth. You will find 15 small lakes such as Mavrolimna, Kadoula, of the Lucky, Kadi and more, along with some waterfalls. For many years it was hidden from the outside world, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, only to be known for just a few years now. Since it is visited every year by many nature lovers and enthusiasts.
One of the most known spots that a visitor can also enjoy a swim during summer season is the lake of Kadoula, were the waterfall reaches 25 meters of height. The lake is deep enough and offers to the boldest a chance to dive from one of its rock cliffs. The lake was named Kadoula because its shape resembles to a heart. Its waters are cold, even during summer time, but are crystal clear and very clean.
If you wish to see all of the lakes and its landscape, the distance of the hiking path is approximately 3km of mid-level difficulty, but it is worth your while since it offers a hiking experience through wonderful lakes and waterfalls, small canyons with rich vegetation and the cave with the beautiful butterflies.
Finally, in the parking area you can enjoy your coffee or beverages in the nearby canteen, having a view of Polylimnio. Essential gear are hiking shoes, swimsuit and camera.
